Refurbishment Hydro Power Plant Breitenlehenbach
In the Tyrolean Ötztal valley, the Breitlehnbach hydroelectric power plant was brought up to the latest technical and energy efficiency standards as part of a refurbsihment project.

The aim was to ensure the sustainable power supply of a carpentry business by renewing and refurbishing the entire power station. This included a refurbishmed two-nozzle Pelton turbine, a new synchronous generator, and new corrosion protection. Additionally, the water intake and the steel hydraulic structure were newly constructed. The facility was also equipped with a digital control system featuring remote access and automatic grid regulation. As a result of these measures, the plant’s capacity was increased by 44%, reaching 722 kW. In the future, the plant will feed electricity directly into the public grid and meets all the requirements of the grid operators.
